Laser resurfacing is a skin-rejuvenating procedure that uses a laser to improve the appearance of your skin while treating wrinkles, fine lines, loose skin, age spots, acne scars, sun damage, surgical scars, rosacea, broken blood vessels and more.
The technique directs short, and concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregularities on the surface of your skin. By resurfacing your skin, this advanced laser technology stimulates growth of new healthy skin cells from the inside out.

LaseMD Ultra at Premier PCW in Norwalk, CT

The LaseMD Ultra is non-ablative resurfacing/skin rejuvenation device that treats the skin superficially by simply rolling a handpiece over the skin.  LaseMD Ultra can be used to treat the skin on your face, neck, chest, and even arms. The treatment can be customized to fit your needs – whether you are looking for a light resurfacing to give your skin a glowing appearance before a special occasion or a deeper treatment to address fine lines, pigmentation and mild to moderate sun damage. LaseMD Ultra is safe for all skin types, and is the perfect addition to your skin care regimen.

What to Expect

Before your skin resurfacing treatment, we will review the benefits and possible side effects with you. Your skin will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream will be applied. You will feel some heat and tingling as the laser is passed over the skin. The number of passes and procedure time will depend on the depth of treatment, lasting anywhere from 5-20 minutes.

Immediately following the treatment, you will notice some redness, which will lessen over the next day or so. The following 5-6 days, your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like texture. This is normal and will resolve as your skin exfoliates, revealing fresher, clearer skin. Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, you may experience a burning sensation for 1-2 hours immediately after the treatment.  We ask that you avoid exercising for the first week post-treatment or until initial healing has occurred. Increased redness may result from any activity that increases blood flow or body temperature.

In the experienced hands of our double board-certified physician, Dr. Gendai Echezona, all skin types can be treated safely with LaseMD Ultra’s cutting-edge technology at Premier PWC in Norwalk, CT.
